Intro

Photography for the complete novice. Come in on auto, leave on manual. There are no judges or high end competions. Just come and play with and share your experience with the basics. Ask questions and post your experiences.

The purpose of this club is to support and inspire people who have no confidence in they’re photographic abilities, to have faith in themselves and have a go. ​

We want to inspire you to pick up your camera, learn quickly how to create great photographs from scratch as a complete beginner. With some basic skills under your belt and some simple DSLR camera knowledge, you’ll be able to develop your photographic ability, even on a reasonable budget. ​

Our promise to you is that you’ll be creating photographs within hours of reading some of the steps within this site, without the need to depend on ‘Auto Settings’. A modicum of knowledge and a few basic tips can go a long way, especially coupled with the technology of modern cameras, and this club can be your first step. ​

Photography appears to be a long winded and confusing process, which can be mind boggling with the fall out being, newcomers and students give up, and cameras are stuffed away in a drawer to collect dust. ​

Our aim is, to assist you to become relatively competent in photography in two or three, uncomplicated lessons. The wider study and longer term learning curve will develop from your photographic journey which can be lifelong. ​

The key point to take on board here is; this is not intended to be a full academic study of photography. These brief steps and lessons that we discuss are the gateway to the roadmap of successful photography which can extend far and wide. The real learning comes, not from what you glean from these steps and lessons, but more where it will take you and at the earliest stage, we hope to make it possible for you to understand, have fun and learn more.
