Well I had hoped I would see something nice to snap on our way back from the Cinema on Canvey... no joy! scraping the barrel with the car park at Morrisons. Tough to find inspiration at the moment so I thought this little list might help us all out...
Weekly Day-Based Themes
Monday – "Mood & Motion"
Capture a feeling or energy in motion.
Ideas: people walking, wind in trees, flowing water, abstract movement blur, expressive faces.
Tuesday – "Texture Tuesday"
Focus on surfaces and detail.
Ideas: rust, bark, fabric, skin, stones, fruit skin, old paper.
Wednesday – "Wonders & Weirdness"
Something unusual, mystical, or just odd.
Ideas: strange shadows, magical light, curiosities, dreamlike scenes, hidden faces in objects.
Thursday – "Throwback or Theme"
Recreate a childhood memory, or use a specific theme (you can rotate monthly—eg. "elements" in August).
Ideas: earth/fire/water/air, old toys, retro edits, reenactments.
Friday – "Framing Friday"
Play with composition, symmetry, or clever perspective.
Ideas: frame within a frame, leading lines, reflections, architectural geometry.
Saturday – "Soul & Symbol"
Something that holds personal or collective meaning.
Ideas: altars, tattoos, nature symbols, spiritual tools, meaningful color.
Sunday – "The Letter Game"
Pick a new letter every Sunday and photograph something that starts with it.
(Week 1: A, Week 2: B, etc.)
Fun and open—apple, architecture, birds, breath, chaos, crystal, dragonfly...
